What will you do?
Management Duties:
Oversee the banking process
Oversee the payment process
Oversee the GL reporting process
All admin related activities to be addressed daily
Adherence to all MANEX SOP’s
Expense Reporting
Reports are received by Management on time
Minimum adjustments
Ensure all queries to be handled and resolved within a one month period
Accuracy
Completeness
Budgeting & Forecasting
Actual vs forecast vs budget analysis
Meet with managers to discuss and understand forecast and budgets
Ensure budget & forecast have been signed off by Management & Sanlam
Within deadlines
Steady continual forecast support for managers
General Ledger & Recons
All recons are done within set time frames
Minimal un-reconciled items
All accounts maintained in accordance with accounting regulations
No unallocated Cost Centres
SAP Maintenance
Only valid & accurate vendors, users and charts are created
Investigate and identify issues on SAP Charts
Extract reports from SAP
In accordance with SOP’s
Approval framework is maintained accurately
Only valid, accurate payments are released on the system
Handling queries
All Banking, GL, Expense
Accuracy
What will make you successful in this role?
Qualification & experience
Matric
BCom Accounting majoring with Financial Accounting
Post-graduate qualification and articles will be advantageous
Preferable five years’ experience in a Management Role
Experience in the financial industry will be advantageous
Computer literacy – MS Office – Excel & Word – advanced/in-depth Excel skills
Working knowledge of accounting package like Walker or other accounting packages
Eight years’ experience in a finance / accounting department as an accountant
