Manager - Finance BP FibreCos and DCCo MTN Global Connect at MTN

Key Performance Areas

Manager – FBP FibreCo & DCCO will be accountable to achieve the following objectives:

• Work closely with GC Finance leadership team, FibreCo MDs & HOF, other Functional Executives & their respective teams to drive GC Fibreco & DCCO strategy.
• Active engagement in various Due Diligence reviews and provide feedback on financial areas.
• Support setting up new FibreCos and DCCOs across Africa footprint including review of any business cases, ensure all financial controls in place by close coordination with GC Finance Ops team.
• Support various strategic initiatives and execution of these programs working together with Bayobab Strategy, Group M&A, Opco Finance teams & other cross functions.
• Work closely with Project SUN team in reviewing business cases (sellers and Buyer case), review historical financials for the carve out and provide finance support where needed.
• Monitor performance of the new FibreCo entities, ensure financials records maintained accurately and support various finance needs.
• Monitor and timely reporting of shadow revenue (Fixed connectivity business) of Opcos.
• Support Sales and commercial team in building short- and long-term business plan.
• Support GC Finance leadership team in providing various ad-hoc requests related to FibreCos and DDCOs.
• Review of Pricing proposals submitted by Bayobab Sales and Commercial team.
• Review and evaluate business cases submitted by commercial team.
• Support setting up KPIs for FibreCos and DCCOs on annual basis and track performance against the target set.
• Support implementation of Project Boost across FibreCos and DCCOs.
• Manage and review capex budget on monthly basis with the close coordination with Bayobab Finance Manager Capex.
• Assess funding needs for FibreCos and DCCOs with close coordination with SM Treasury, strategy team and FibreCo Executive.
• Monitor performance of NOC/SOC operations in FibreCos and accuracy of charge backs by the FibreCos.
• Attend regular Management review sessions of business performance with FibreCo and DCCO teams.
• Coordination with Opco wholesale team for reporting, business planning and analysis.
• Review existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure investments are adequately insured and maintain the insurance register in collaboration with Bayobab BRM and Manager – Capex Management.
• Post implementation reviews of major investment projects and ROI.
• Build / develop with technology and strategy team in automating management reports to support management decision making.
• Assist SM FP&A and Business Partners, GM Finance and CFO in various decision-making process.
• Review various contracts and Service Order Forms and brief Bayobab Finance leadership team prior to final sign off.
• Any additional tasks and duties as assigned by Management time to time.

Job Requirements

Education:

• 4-year Accounting/Finance degree in recognized university.
• Fully Qualified CA / CPA/ ACMA (CIMA) /ACCA.
• Postgraduate (in Finance) or MBA would be plus.

Experience:

• 5+ years in relevant experience in relevant areas of the business.
• Hyperion reporting, FCCS and analysis experience is a must.
• Experience in Audit environment coupled with commercial background.
• Stakeholder management.
