Manager New Energy Services Planning at Toyota

A vacancy exists within the Marketing Planning Division under the newly created New Business Energy Department. This position reports to the New Energy Business Development Senior Manager and is based in Johannesburg.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Research Analysis and Dissemination

• Analyse energy requirements of New Energy Vehicles offered from Global affiliates.
• Analyse New Energy Availability & Supply chain with Local Energy partners.
• Research new Fuel Technology available globally.
• Research integration/conversion of existing Toyota Products to reduce emissions.

Compliance on New Energy technologies

• Establish risk framework on New Energy technology Value chain.
• Research international Regulation, Codes and Standards relating to New Energy technologies.
• Assist with lobbying to government on the establishment/ amendment of existing regulation.
• Assist to internal TSAM departments in adaptation to dealer network & other internal areas.

Best Practice Implementation

• Develop and implement best practice processes.
• Use best practice learning to kaizen processes within the Marketing Planning and Communication Areas
• Set up Product Brief process on New Energy conversion products.

Strategic Support on Carbon Neutral

• Assist in developing documents and presentations to support strategic decisions.
• Compile Carbon footprint reporting on New Vehicle Sales.
• Budgeting and Execution of Capital projects.

Demo Project Management

• Manage of Demo new Energy projects with Local partners.
• Measure and track objectives of Demo ramp up projects.

People Management and Development

• Ensure that graduate trainees have a better understanding of the research tools/methods
• Ensure that product planners understand what each system consist of and how to use them

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• NQF Level 6 (360 credits - 8 level framework) in the field of Chemical/Mechanical engineering
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience within the Fuel Engineering & Combustion Engineering space
• Advanced MS Office Skills
