Main Purpose of the Role

Manage the Ocean Export team. Manage daily operational activities and workflow. Responsible for P&L and reporting. Client Liaison and management of third parties. Deliver to specific branch and department targets. Sound geographical knowledge

Job-Related Requirements

• Ocean export experience required
• Supervisory / Management experience within the freight forwarding industry.
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Own vehicle
• Valid drivers license

Electives

• Cargowise experience preferable

Duties And Responsibilities

• Must be able to work additional hours when required
• Able to travel
• Must deliver to specific branch and department targets
• Ability to work under pressure
• Manage P&L and other reporting
• Pay attention to detail and dealing with issues promptly
• Dealing with internal and external stakeholders / clients / suppliers
• Ability to control the operation process and people
• Accurate feedback and management of cargowise / financial reports
• Responsible for P&L and meeting budget
• Ensure FMC and other regulatory compliance
• General admin duties, including disciplinary procedures
