Manager: Planning And Customer Services (Ref No: IS-ELP-MAN) at Drakenstein Municipality

JOB PURPOSE:

• Manage the key performance areas and result indicators associated with Planning and Design, Works Programming and construction through investigation, analysis and interpretation of developmental requirements against the capacity and capability of the department to accomplish immediate, short and longer term services delivery objectives. Manage the planning, Design and construction of new extensions on existing electricity systems and run an up-to-date system with mini-system losses and to ensure electricity availability to residents.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST:

• BSc/ Beng/ BTech Engineering (Elect) or equivalent plus
• Registered or registerable as Professional Engineer/ Technologist(NQF6/7)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

• Code EB driver’s license
• Computer Literacy (Ms Word, Excel, operation of GIS, CAD, MS PowerPoint, MS projects)
• Qualification in medium and high voltage operations, switching and cable fault finding
• Project Planning experience
• Basic knowledge of First Aid
• Knowledge of implementation of health and safety legislation
• Managerial and supervisory skills

• Ability to give attention to detail
• High level of responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure without tolerance for errors
