Manager: Planning and Strategy at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A relevant B degree qualification
• At least eight (8) years appropriate experience at Senior Management level and extensive Managerial experience
• Waste and/or Municipal experience or environment willnbe advantageous
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to provide relevant strategic direction
• A valid driver's licence

Key Performance Areas

• The provision of strategic planning and direction for Solid Waste services through the formulation of an Integrated Waste Management policy, plan, strategy bylaws and regulation of Solid Waste services
• Development and implementation of Waste Minimization
• Business Improvement and Special Projects
• Provision of an Information System (MIS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) Management Service
• Solid Waste Public Awareness, Education and Communication Management Information Technology
• Managing, directing and guiding the performance of the Heads (Level 4 Managers)
• Deputise for Director: Integrated Planning and Waste Strategy when required
