    Principal Professional Officer

    Requirements

    • A BSc / BEng / BTech degree in Civil Engineering plus registration as a Professional Engineer/Technologist or eligibility  for registration
    • A minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in desig and project management at a senior level in the Technical/Engineering field

    Requirements

    • Relevant BTech or First degree

    Occupational Health Practitioner

    Requirements

    • Qualifications in General Nursing that allows registration with SANC  as a Professional Nurse
    • BTech degree/diploma in Occupational Health (OH) Nursing
    • Five (5) years relevant experience in Occupational Health
    • Certification in Audiometry, including instruction 171 and registration with SASOHN as an Audiometrist
    • Certification in Spirometry
    • Working knowledge of relevant Occupational Health Acts and
    • Regulations

    • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures to keep abreast with changes in OH

    Technician (Land Survey)

    Requirements

    • Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification in Geomatics
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a Geomatics environment
    • The incumbent needs to be reasonably fit to be able to carry out fairly strenuous field work, in all weather conditions, if required

    Head - Engineering Services to Informal Settlements

    Requirements

    • A tertiary Engineering qualification
    • Registration as a Professional Engineer will be advantageous
    • At least 7 years experience in the design, construction and maintenance of municipal engineering services
    • At least 3 years experience in service delivery in informal settlements/areas of informality
    • Project management experience
    • Good knowledge of project management principles, council engineering standards, specifications and contract documentation, standard Government housing programmes and low-cost housing finance
    • A good understanding of the dynamics in informal settlements, which often require unconventional or innovative solutions
    • A valid Code EB driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Direct and oversee servicing of Greenfield land for accommodating residents to be relocated from informal settlements being serviced

    • Manage the capital and operating budgets for the unit
    • Advise and give support to the Informal Settlements Management section
    • Advise and give support to participating Non-governmental Organisations
    • Manage reporting staff
