Principal Professional Officer at City of Cape Town

Requirements

• A BSc / BEng / BTech degree in Civil Engineering plus registration as a Professional Engineer/Technologist or eligibility  for registration
• A minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience in desig and project management at a senior level in the Technical/Engineering field
• A valid Code EB driver's licence

Key Performance Areas

• Prepare engineering designs, specifications and drawings and manage multi-disciplinary project teams
• Identify and undertake immediate, short and long-term planning associated with bulk water infrastructure and project implementation
• Prepare capital and operating estimates within planned projects and control expenditure against approved project budget allocations
• Provide engineering guidance and maintain technical standards and infrastructure and protect rights of the Branch
• Ensure correct and efficient written communication with internal and external parties as well as the safekeeping of documentation
