    Technician (Land Survey)

    Requirements

    • Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification in Geomatics
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a Geomatics environment
    • The incumbent needs to be reasonably fit to be able to carry out fairly strenuous field work, in all weather conditions, if required
    • Valid Code B driver’s licence

    Key Performance Areas

    • Support departments with Geomatics Survey operations in compliance with the Land Survey Act
    • Responsible for the provision of Topographic and Engineering Surveys
    • Responsible for Town Survey Mark (TSM) maintenance
    • Supervise Senior Technical Assistants during construction of TSMs
    • Responsible for Precise Levelling
    • Responsible for the provision of premarking and control surveys for mapping projects
    • Provide a consultancy service to internal clients
