Technician (Land Survey)

Requirements
- Relevant 3 year tertiary qualification in Geomatics
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a Geomatics environment
- The incumbent needs to be reasonably fit to be able to carry out fairly strenuous field work, in all weather conditions, if required
- Valid Code B driver’s licence
Key Performance Areas
- Support departments with Geomatics Survey operations in compliance with the Land Survey Act
- Responsible for the provision of Topographic and Engineering Surveys
- Responsible for Town Survey Mark (TSM) maintenance
- Supervise Senior Technical Assistants during construction of TSMs
- Responsible for Precise Levelling
- Responsible for the provision of premarking and control surveys for mapping projects
- Provide a consultancy service to internal clients
