Job Description

Responsible and accountable for the SIL Personal Lines product offering in respect of

• Leadership: To provide strategic, operational, and tactical leadership in growing income and profitability of the allocated Personal lines Portfolio
• 3rd Party Portfolio strategy formulation and execution to drive growth and profitability
• Product Cycle Management: End-to-end product cycle management
• Oversight of Underwriting Governance and profitability management
• Strategic and operational stakeholder engagements
• Channel management and oversight (internal broker/bank and 3rd party channels/partnerships) including business process oversight of mandated 3rd parties (binder and outsourced functions)
• Providing input into SIL reinsurance renewal planning and preparations

Qualifications

• Type of Qualification: First Degree
• Field of Study: Business                                                                                                                            
• Certification :An Insurance qualification accreditation (AIISA/ACII/FIISA/FCII)
• Fais Compliant: KI Readiness Requirements (Must be ready to be appointed a KI if needed)

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar managerial role in the short-term insurance industry (specifically in product management with exposure to prior experience in the above key responsibilities)                                     
• Knowledge of short-term insurance, especially Personal Lines products
• Knowledge of regulatory, and compliance requirements for short-term insurance 
• Knowledge of short-term insurance value chain and related ecosystems.
• General knowledge of the economic environment.
