    Manager: Solution (WMS) - Kempton Park

    Role Outline

    The role of Solution Manager exists to enable DHL Supply Chain business to design, implement, release and support IT Solutions (set of IT Products) to run efficient operations with maintainable and upgradeable IT Products. DHL Supply Chain selected best-in-class IT Products to satisfy customer and business needs and the Solution Manager has the duty to intelligently compose offered products into a solution that emphasize the peculiarity and strengths of each product, offering to the operations an IT Solution covering all the business needs. The Solution Manager also has the duty to ensure implemented solutions respect the OPS and IT standardization principles set by the company and must support projects to achieve standardization targets, when achievable.

    Key areas of responsibility include:

    • Lead a team of Application Consultants                                
    • Implement abd Support strategic Warehouse Management solutions in Africa                    
    • Prepare Concept of Systems documents                                
    • Support go-live and post go-live process optimizations                                
    • Manage change requests during implementation                                
    • Support UAT and User Training
    • Prepare IT budget for implementation activities accurately and on time                              
    • Lead a team of Application Consultants
    • Manage relevant software vendors                                                 

    Qualifications/ Skills/Competencies/Experience

    • University Graduate (Engineering)                                        
    • Project Management                                        
    • SQL    
    • Experience in IT Project Management                                        
    • Experience in IT Budgeting                                        
    • Experience in Strategic Applications                                    
    • Matric – Essential
    • Experience in Supply Chain, Warehousing and Transportation
    • Experience in FMCG environment advantageous
    • Minimum 5 years WMS experience, inclusive of implementation, master data, set-up configuration and integration
    • Preferably Manhatten/WMOS experience
    • Handling of queries
    • Writing reports
    • Strong technical skills
    • Management experience
    • Strong understanding of continuous improvement
    • Troubleshooting experience
