    Senior Sales Associate - JHB

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for end-to-end sales process in NIV product for projects assigned and all new clients.
    • Actively pursue new clients to grow NIV against given targets with the mindset to always exceed expectations.
    • Preparation of work related to client meetings, quotation completion, proposals, presentations, verification of completeness, quality of information, and instructions before executing the process (collaborating closely with the Senior Analyst and NSO Lead)
    • Monitor quality and timely delivery of outputs on projects to clients and escalate in case of any delays/roadblocks which may occur against agreed SLA.
    • Execute output processing instructions.
    • Ensure that the quality of output and client servicing is according to NielsenIQ’s standards and commitments.
    • Task not limited to the maintenance of full documentation of project scope / output instructions.
    • Support the team in calling out gaps / issues / risks and execute mitigation / resolution action plans.
    • Continuously support development of NSO by sharing ideas for improvement
    • Confidence and credibility to talk to a wide range of decision makers.
    • Ability to actively listen and understand a client’s needs and strategy to match the correct NIV solution to ensure we consistently add value to our clients.
    • Willingness and ability to learn at a fast pace.
    • Must be able to perform under pressure and deliver all work timeously.
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and can build authentic connections internally and externally with clients.
    • Full investment in the success of NSO and the success of the client in using the NSO product.
    • Demonstrate excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
    • Ability to present to small and large audiences with confidence.
    • Ability to communicate between local and global teams.
    • Demonstrate the highest commitment to sales force penetration.
    • Demonstrable knowledge of the in-store execution within the retail industry, understanding how trade and business needs are changing, and how NSO solutions can help solve client business issues.
    • Maintain timely communications with account teams and senior management, keep stakeholders up to date on client requirements, and call out any issues / risks. Document records of client inquiries and resolutions. Following the NielsenIQ client engagement model.
    • Full understanding of NIV portfolio and interconnectedness of different solutions.
    • Have a deep understanding of customers’ business needs with respect to pricing, assortment, distribution, and execution.
    • Confidence to reframe and challenge the way customers view their businesses.
    • Leads final presentation of results to ensure client satisfaction, actionable recommendations, and additional opportunity detection.

    Qualifications:

    • Any bachelor’s degree 
    • Fluent English level (written and oral)
    • Candidates with experience in FMCG / General Merchandise / Retail
    • End to End experience (from study design to delivery)
    • Excellent skills in Excel , Word and PowerPoint

    Client Service Executive - Johannesburg

    Job Description

    • Maintain a client service orientation by managing daytoday administration of client service and coordinating on analysis and reporting of assigned research projects.

    Client Servicing

    •  Maintain an accurate, complete, uptodate and insightful client business profiles to be shared with senior management 
    • Assist senior staff in delivering quality services to clients and ensure the services provided to clients are timely and precise according to client business needs and specifications and at the same time meeting the company's quality standards
    • Assist in sales activities in conjunction with senior staff in terms of preparation of proposal and credential presentations 
    • Communicate client needs to appropriate team members
    • Provide "in office" research, administrative and operational support to senior staff
    • Be directly accountable for work conducted for their nominated clients in terms of analyses, charting, etc.

    Functional / Technical 

    • Maintain an accurate and uptodate knowledge on research techniques and applications 
    • Integrate multiple data sources to answer business issues
    • Perform quality checks on all reports for alignment to request, accuracy and correctness
    • Ensure standard operating procedures within area of responsibility are observed
    • Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility

    Typical Position Prerequisites: 

    • BA / BS Required 
    • Fresh Graduate or 1 to 2 years of working experience 
    • Entry level knowledge of statistics
    • Entry level knowledge of common Microsoft Office application

    Senior Research Executive - JHB

    Purpose of the role:

    • Ideal candidate will be required to deliver daily prompt analysis of data to client stakeholders, as required to meet their needs.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Drive client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during reporting, presentations and business reviews and also by providing value-added analyses and response to special requests.
    • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with the identified key persons within client organization
    • Liaise daily with senior management to identify their needs and recommend then deliver new analyses beyond their expectations and understanding.

    Knowledge and Skills Requirement:

    • Strong client focus
    • Strong understanding of measurement data to enable meaningful conversations with all client stakeholders, and ensure accurate representation of the data in reporting and insights
    • Knowledge of statistics and multivariate analysis
    • Ability to understand all technical and delivery aspects of the modeling process to carry out internal Nielsen and client based conversations
    • Experienced with analysis tools for data extraction at a complex level
    • Able to influence and persuade.
    • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to analyse and interpret data in a challenging and insightful manner
    • Excellent presentation development skills to creatively to bring data to life with story-telling and attractive reporting to client expectations
    • Confident presenting skills to deliver insights, stories and actions in face to face or group presentations
    • Efficient time management, ability to multi-task and detail oriented
    • Displays maturity and creative problem solving skills in handling crises
    • Recommend improvements in work processes within area of responsibility
    • Able to operate in a multi-cultural environment.

    Qualifications:

    • 3+ years’ experience and proven success with Market research (both qualitative &quantitative)
    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
    • Strong analysis skills and insight generation
    • Good grounding in custom research principles, methodologies, statistical techniques
    • Basic business understanding (e.g. comfortable with terminology: revenue, profit, loss, margin)
    • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills or Google Slides and Google Sheets.
