Manager: Supervisory Projects at Datacentrix

• Managed Talent Solutions' client, a major player in the Financial Services industry seeks a highly skilled and dynamic professional to join their Insurers Supervision Department as a Manager: Supervisory Projects. This role is critical in supporting the general management of the department, coordinating key supervisory projects, and providing technical expertise to enhance and maintain a risk-based conduct of business supervisory framework for the insurance sector.
• Reporting directly to the Departmental Head, this position offers the opportunity to lead impactful initiatives and contribute to the effective supervision of the insurance industry.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk Management, Business, Economics, or Accounting.
• At least 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, with specific expertise in the insurance sector.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable legislation and a strong understanding of both international and local trends affecting the insurance sector.
• Experience in monitoring, compliance management, risk management, project management, and people management.
• Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills, particularly across cross-functional areas, will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, coordinate, and drive key supervisory projects to enhance and implement effective supervisory strategies within the department.
• Provide expert technical input into strategic decision-making processes across the department and division.
• Support senior executives by delivering technical and supervisory insights as required.
• Contribute to legislative amendments and represent the department in international forums when necessary.
• Ensure timely delivery of project outcomes and adherence to strict deadlines.
• Recommend and implement changes based on supervisory project findings to support departmental objectives.
• Apply a risk-based approach to prioritize deliverables and allocate resources effectively.
• Engage with industry stakeholders on conduct-of-business supervisory matters.
• Collaborate with senior management on operational and strategic issues.
• Address complex matters with financial institutions, particularly insurers.
