Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Commerce
Professional certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) can be beneficial.
5-7 years of experience in supply chain management with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role working in or within public sector organization.
Ability to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies that align with good organizational goals.
Understanding of procurement policies and compliance requirements.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain management processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize supply chain management operations.
Strong leadership skills to manage teams, projects, and cross functional initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders, including officials, suppliers and team members.
Experience in managing relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
Ability to manage budgets and financial aspects of supply chain management operations.
Commitment to driving continuous improvement and efficiency in supply chain management processes.
Responsibilities
Managing the end-to-end supply chain management processes.
Developing and enforcing policies and procedures to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective supply chain management processes.
Tracking and analyzing key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain.
Identifying potential risks within the supply chain and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for supply chain activities.
Ensuring all supply chain activities complies with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Reviewing and developing high-level procurement strategies.
