Responsibilities 

• Conduct 20- to 45-minute conversation-based group and private lessons with adult learners. 
• Provide after class reports to all students, detailing their progress and on-going recommendations for improvement. 
• Keep up to date with all platform and classroom enhancements. 
• Manage own teaching schedule. 

Requirements 

• South African Residency. You must live in South Africa and be in possession of a South African identity document. 
• C2 level English speaker with a neutral accent. 
• B2-C1 proficiency in Mandarin 
• Candidates will only be granted access to bilingual lessons after passing an internal proficiency test 
• Completed Bachelor’s degree (Compulsory). 
• 120-hour TEFL teaching certificate 
• Professional, energetic, and excited about people. 
• Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Other work experience counts. 

Must have:

• Uncapped internet 
• Download: 10 Mbps

Peripherals 

• Webcam: 1080P webcam is needed (Logitech C920 recommended); 
• Green screen; 
• Ring light 
• Noise cancelling headphones. 
• Backup power source, i.e. UPS or Generator in case of load shedding. 

Compensation 

• Payment is based on hourly rates: from R63.00 up to R84.00 per hour, based on performance. 
• All completed hours must be invoiced, and payment excludes any Tax deductions.
