    Market Access Value Partner

    The Position

    Roche in Midrand, Johannesburg is seeking a Market Access Value Partner. 

    • The purpose of this role is to support and provide insights into market access and commercial strategies by using the available data to understand and quantify the market and ensure adequate pipeline planning.

    Key Challenges

    Market Access

    • Developing and executing a cross functionally integrated strategy for access, pricing & reimbursement activities.
    • Build relationships with key funders and decision makers within the funding environment to facilitate bringing new medicines to market consistently & efficiently.
    • Analysis of market landscape & future treatment paradigms.
    • Pricing and scenario analysis to maximize patient and revenue reach.
    • Understanding of funder unmet needs & key funder endpoints to drive value and differentiation.
    •  Initiating and facilitating ad-hoc Thought Leader consultation i.e. Advisory Boards for market access insights.
    • Localising global value dossiers and budget impact models.
    • Developing and implementing the project plan for Health Technology Assessments across various funders.
    • Perform stakeholder mapping per therapeutic area and lead engagement with Key Managed Care Organisations.
    • Justify, support and maintenance of formulary listings & reference pricing at funder level.
    • Preparing pricing applications to the Department of Health.
    • Upskilling market access team and organization on market access in SA.
    • Adapt global strategy / tools according to in-country access needs.
    • Develop formulary tools to assist representatives to effectively communicate message in field.
    • Build access stakeholder networks by profiling access stakeholders.
    • Develop innovative access solutions (risk-sharing, OBA, ARMs etc.).
    • Develop strategy to incorporate molecules on treatment guidelines of MCO's.
    • Build access stakeholder networks by profiling access stakeholders.
    • Co-create the public sector access engagement and address healthcare capacity solutions together with colleagues in the team.

    Pricing

    • Develop pricing and LOE product recommendations by defining analysis parameters, gathering relevant data, conducting analysis and making recommendations as required. 
    • Track and report on the impact of pricing decisions and make recommendations on adaptation and adjustment to maximize business opportunities by gathering data, conducting analysis, making recommendations on adjustments.

    Stakeholder Engagement and Support

    •  Maintain relationships with stakeholders in order to remain up-to-date with any market, research and legislative changes and developments by identifying stakeholders, building relationships, sharing and gathering expertise and insights and participating in forums and workshops to support business requirements.
    • Support the insights generated by the rest of the team in the patient journey to translate patient numbers into commercial revenues with the commercial teams.

    You, as an ideal candidate, will have the following skills, experience and education:

    • Required Qualification: Degree in a related field.
    • Required Experience: 3 to 5 years Access related experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
