Marketing Data & Research Specialist at Corteva Agriscience

As Marketing Data & Research Specialist you will be responsible for enabling cutting-edge management decision making based on quality data in support of Regional & Commercial Units (CU).

Your Challenge:

Seed, Crop Protection & Seed Applied Technology (SAT) Market Intelligence 

• Analyse, interpret and deliver market intelligence data for seed, crop protection and SAT for the Africa Middle East market
• Lead & facility monthly market intelligence for Region as a build-up from CU’s to drive planning process
• Deliver the Region’s GTM (Go to Market) data accuracy to enable decision making
• Deliver the Region’s 5 Year Plan market data & assumptions driven by Pricing & Volume analytics and competitor insights

Market and Competitor Intelligence Monitoring

• Feed-through market trends and assumptions to Demand Planners and relevant Marketing Team members to enable intelligent forecast – both tactical & strategic
• Market research to drive knowledge base on market trends, competitor monitoring and movements
• Monitor marketplace trends such as cost of production, technology adoption, farm consolidation, weather impact risk assessment and purchasing patterns
• Collaborating with Marketing Managers on competitor launches impacting business strategy and decision making
• Ongoing monitoring of price movement and impact on market value
• Serve as the connection & centralized point for data truth for CU 

Key Stakeholders and Interactions:

Internal

• Commercial Unit Leaders, Commercial Unit Marketing Managers, Demand Planner, Regional Marketing Team, Global Business Intelligence Platform, Regional & CU Finance Business Partners

External

• Relevant Agriculture information hubs, industry stakeholders such as BFAP, Grain SA, AgBiz, Commercial Banks and other compliant Industry Bodies
• Market & data intelligence vendors

Qualifications

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need 

• Tertiary education in agroeconomics, business, or related field
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in data analytics
• Advanced Excel skills & analytics required
• PowerBI will be an advantage
• Professional background in agriculture and AME market will be an advantage
