Job Objectives

• The trainee will conduct marketing research and maintain awareness of relevant trends that impact the supermarket brands.
• Responsible for formulating new marketing initiatives.
• Measure the effectiveness of the marketing plan.
• All communications and marketing endeavours will be aligned with the brand strategy.
• The trainee will ensure that media selection is efficient and complies with the overall strategy.
• Participate in and assist with the coordination of promotional activities.
• Manage the day-to-day marketing and advertisement activities.
• The trainee will manage campaign budgets under supervision.
• Analyse historical sales information and plan accordingly to maximise the timing and effectiveness of promotions.
• The trainee will foster sustainable relationships with internal business stakeholders.
• Provide marketing support functions to various divisions.
• Act as a liaison between clients and agencies.
• The trainee will provide high-quality briefings to agencies and ensure that all marketing endeavours support the overall business strategy.
• Plan and implement projects in accordance with deadlines and budget constraints.
• Provide and receive continuous feedback to support ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

• Grade 12/ Matric certification – (essential).
• Degree in Marketing or equivalent – (essential)

Experience

• +1 years of marketing experience – (beneficial).
• Experience in a retail environment – (beneficial).
