Purpose

• To support the business with confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting for all IRD products.

Experience and Qualifications

• Relevant financial post-graduate degree
• 3+years’ experience in a - Global markets environment
• Derivatives experience highly  beneficial

Responsibilities

• Display attention to detail in checking instructions and ensuring trades are booked correctly on source systems.
• Monitor all  settlements and confirmations queues in Murex and ensure they are resolved at  end of day.
• Unresolved confirmations  must be included on the end of day report and then on weekly reported  to risk.
• Ensure confirmation processing is within KRI deadlines.
• Monitorand follow-up on outstanding confirmations in line with specific business requirements .
• Display accuracy  and attention to detail in ensuring settlements are correctly processed  in line with minimum standards.
• Monitor system  alerts to ensure settlements are processed within cut off times and successfully .
• Attend to  all recons, update commentary, and ensure they are resolved as per minimum standard . Escalation policy must be always adhered to.
• Gaina clear understanding of system flows and architecture to identify and resolve process  breakdowns and exceptions.
• Understand process  flows to identify which systems are causing mismatches.
• Liaise with  clients, BT and/or Dealers to resolve discrepancies, system bugs and general  issues.
• Challenge and  enhance current processes to reduce operational breakdowns and audit findings .
• Plan and  manage daily tasks and prioritize according to agreed timeframes while maintaining  quality standards.
