Material Planning Officer (Midrand) at Alstom

• Bombela Maintenance is looking to recruit 1 x Material Planning Officer.
• The main purpose of this role is to ensure effective control  of adequate inventory level of materials in order to fulfill Production / Operations / Installation requirements while minimising cash immobilisation.
• This role will be based at the Gautrain Maintenance Depot in Midrand, Johannesburg.  

YOUR ROLE: 

• Material Planning for both Rolling Stock and Wayside maintenance requirements.
• Generate various MAXIMO reports – missing parts, reorder & inventory reports.
• Compile maintenance / overhaul work orders that are aligned to production plans.
• Express and implied ethical responsibilities and values 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Material Requirements Planning within a Railway Maintenance environment
• Technical qualification preferred – must be experienced in working with   SAP, Maximo 
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) 
• SAP Experience- Must be able to create PO’s and schedule Deliveries
• OTIF- Demonstrate Knowledge of the required principles regarding that aspect of material planning
• Manage Material Master DATA- Manage material parameters 
• MRP Messages- Must be able to Interpret MRP Messages
• Reading of drawings and schematics
• Interpretation of OEM specifications 
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of general workshop maintenance
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
