We are seeking an experienced College Mathematics Teacher to teach Grades 8–11 within the IEB curriculum at Reddford House Blue Hills. The role requires a holistic approach to student development, promoting academic progress, wellbeing, and a positive learning atmosphere. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment that motivates students to achieve their full potential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, prepare and deliver interesting and exciting mathematics lessons.
Establish a nurturing classroom environment that promotes active and engaged learning.
Demonstrate professionalism in punctuality, conduct and expectations for student work and homework.
Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
Participate in ongoing personal and school-wide professional development.
Produce high-quality learning resources for student use.
Respond to parent communication within 24 hours.
Attend school events and special occasions as required.
Set and mark examinations and assessments.
Write report comments that reflect student progress and achievement.
Undertake additional reasonable duties as assigned by the School Head or line manager.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Proven experience teaching Mathematics from Grade 8 to Grade 11.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching within the relevant school phase.
Experience teaching within the IEB curriculum.
Completed university degree in a relevant subject and SACE certification.
Strong planning, preparation, and assessment skills.
Ability to set clear expectations and provide effective feedback to support learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues and parents.
A positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
