MECP Manager: Grains at Tiger Brands

THE JOB AT A GLANCE:

• The main purpose of the role is to lead the implementation of Manufacturing Excellence Customs & Practices {MECP} in the Grains Category. The role influences the site leadership and partners with them to drive the MECP methodology. The role is also custodian of the MECP methodology and MECP change management at Category level.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE:

• Support the Grains manufacturing sites to define and track progress against the MECP implementation plans.
• Coach the Grains manufacturing sites on MECP as Subject Matter Expert
• Contributes to the group MECP community of best practice (audits, training, benchmarking etc)
• Support the sites in identifying and implementing loss elimination projects
• Support pillar leaders and teams with the implementation of MECP & prescribed methodologies
• Consolidate and report on all prescribed MECP management reports
• Benchmark industry best practices to identify future improvements and opportunities.
• Lead Grains category MECP pillar maturity assessments and support  pillars with the development of improvement plans.
• Lead site MECP capability building across the Grains manufacturing sites.
• Support the site MECP change management

• Adherence to MECP implementation plan

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Key Professional Competencies Core knowledge - TPM/WCM philosophy and principles, Supply Chain Best Practices (people, process & technology), Project Management, Supply Chain KPI’s.

Key foundational competencies

• Academic – Conceptual /Analytical Skills, Commercial Acumen, Problem solving, Decision making, Degree
• Industrial, Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Leadership –Owning it, develop self & others, thinking innovation. Staying step ahead.
• Personal Effectiveness – Effective communication, Interpersonal skills, Integrity, Creativity, Continuous learning

Experience

• Function – 2+ Continuous Improvement, Production Management, R&D, TPM Methodology {5years experience in leadership role and at least 3 years in WCM/TPM}
