    Medical Equipment Service Technician

    Position Description:

    • To support all Technical Service Functions in Tshwane and bordering provinces by doing faultfinding / troubleshooting & repairs on medical equipment.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Service & repair systems to full working capacity
    • Maintain and follow warranty processors and procedures for all intended repairs
    • Assist with service related queries at hospitals or customer sites
    • Completion of paper work submissions and daily activity reports
    • Fill in and complete job cards for any service repairs, warranties or labour completed
    • Communicate weekly visits and schedules to Hospitals
    • Maintain & build good customer relationships
    • Build relationships with service consultants for support on service activities.
    • Plan country trips to outline areas and regions to complete equipment inspections, services & repairs
    • Assess, repair, service & provide reports over a wide range of equipment
    • Fill out quotations for replacement parts and keep a track record
    • Adhere to safety and quality standards on all products.
    • Perform annual maintenance services on equipment
    • Update & capture assessment and manage service records
    • Complete quality field actions and provide reports
    • Adequate stock control on service parts
    • Maintain company vehicle in good condition.
    • Manage tools and testing equipment
    • Maintain vehicle mileage log book

    Qualification (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

    • Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
    • ND or N6 Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
    • Technical and mechanical mindset
    • Computer literacy
    • Valid driver’s license (Code 08/EB) and PDP advantageous  
    • Minimum experience in driving company vehicle of at least 2 years
    • Available after hours on adhoc basis
    • Available to travel nationally for several days
