Job Description

• An exciting hybrid opportunity is available for a skilled Microsoft Managed Services Engineer to join a dynamic Managed Services Team, based in Gauteng.
• You would play a critical role in delivering high-quality support, administration, and optimisation of customer Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365/Azure tenants.
• This role works closely with internal teams and customers to ensure systems operate efficiently, securely, and in line with best practices, while contributing to the continuous improvement of standards and policies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including provisioning, patching, hardening, and security management
• Monitor and optimise server performance, security, and operational efficiency
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Office 365) tenants
• Proactively improve Microsoft 365 security posture and governance
• Troubleshoot and resolve server and tenant-related incidents
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on major or recurring issues
• Act as an escalation point for 2nd-line engineers and internal teams
• Support sales initiatives, including renewals, new contracts, and solution opportunities
• Produce customer-facing reports on infrastructure and service performance
• Engage with customers to provide technical guidance and tailored solutions
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
• Evaluate and test new products and services before implementation
• Collaborate with internal teams and share technical knowledge
• Assist with projects, migrations, and system implementations
• Develop and maintain internal standards, procedures, and policies
• Provide cross-team technical support when required
• Accurately log support requests, incidents, resolutions, and related activities

Minimum Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent experience
• MCSE, MCSA, or MCITP certification
• Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 tenants
• Strong experience managing multiple Windows Server environments
• PowerShell and scripting experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and server environments
• Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities effectively
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Experience in SLA-driven environments
• Documentation and reporting proficiency
