    Mid Copywriter

    JOB SUMMARY:

    • Work with a team of creatives to create memorable concepts and campaigns everywhere we engage with audiences - including digital, video, social and more.
    • Understand brand objectives, target markets, and industry trends.
    • Live and breathe social and digital.
    • Be a stickler for spelling and grammar.
    • Support senior copywriters and be an example to junior copywriters.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Copywriting, creative writing, and proofreading – from posts to blogs to whatever’s needed to make
    • people share, like, love, click, buy
    • Brainstorm and strategise with team
    • Conceptual copy and pitch work
    • Writing content plans and briefing designers
    • Tailoring the content and style of individual writing assignments according to their purpose -whether they are intended to sell or inform
    • Help create and implement content plans, calendars and schedules
    • Research and integrate the latest changes and best practices in digital and social marketing
    • Work closely with the content strategist and director of strategy, as well as the creative director, to
    • execute campaigns fully
    • Ensure that creative work is produced as well as you conceived it
    • Be an extension of our CD’s vision in work you create as well as work you help direct from other teams
    • Help build our agency culture of doing great work that raises the creative bar and exceeds client expectations

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

    • Grade 12
    • BA Degree, N Dip, equivalent in Creative Brand Communications - Copywriting
    • Journalism, Marketing, Literature/Languages qualifications (advantageous)
    • Degree MUST be from a reputable and internationally recognised institution
    • Social media and digital copywriting experience a must
    • A portfolio that demonstrates that you know how to create big, integrated ideas across a variety of media
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a creative team and with leaders across the organisation
    • Great communication skills to discuss strategy, sell work, discuss feedback, brainstorm, and turn everything into opportunities to take projects to the next level
    • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines
    • Be as good at being a team player as you are at being self-directed

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • 3 -6 years’ experience in the advertising industry

    SALARY BRACKET:

    • R25 000 - R30 000

    Please note: Cape Town based candidates will also be considered.
