    Mid- Weight Graphic Designer

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • We believe in creative work that disrupts, we are looking for a candidate who challenges the norm and embodies our philosophy of divine discontent (Never stop chasing brilliance attitude).
    • We are therefore looking for a Medium Weight Graphic Designer. Must have 3-4+ years experience and a strong portfolio showcasing work across a few different industries with ideally a variety of deliverables to showcase their capabilities and adaptability.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • A Medium Weight Graphic Designer is expected to be:
    • Conceptually and craft-led with a desire to transform brands by creating beautiful, well-executed, and human-centred design and experiences.
    • Be involved in the creation of visual concepts for various projects, ensuring they align with brand identity.
    • Design and produce high-quality graphics for both digital and print channels.
    • Manage a project from concept to completion, while adhering to deadlines.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and brand management, as well as with clients, to understand and meet project requirements.
    • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders.
    • Ensure all final deliverables meet technical and quality standards, including understanding file preparation for print and digital output.

    SKILLS

    • Strong understanding of design concept [concept first design later] and visual design principles, typography, and colour theory.
    • Expertise in layout design and artworking.
    • Design according to a brands CI and ensuring continuity across all new assets created.
    • Ability to create scalable assets and brand guidelines.
    • Exceptional creativity and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication skills with ability to provide rationales for creative choices made
    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong project management and time-management skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Be aware of current design trends, locally and abroad.
    • A strong understanding of processes
    • Ability to work under pressure & meet tight deadlines
    • Take initiative

    Responsibilities

    • Be a champion for design innovation on every project you touch
    • Generate ideas and sell them into clients and other members of the team
    • Mock up creative ideas
    • Design across multiple channels
    • Consistently produce creative elements against a deliverables list
    • Brainstorms & conceptualisation
    • Compile presentations for clients.
    • Scope, plan & manage the creative process on projects
    • Participate in pitches for new business
    • Mandatory knowledge of these tools:
    • Adobe Illustrator
    • Adobe Photoshop
    • Adobe Acrobat
    • Adobe InDesign
    • Keynote / PowerPoint

    Bonus skills

    • AI image generation
    • AI video generation
    • Traditional and/or digital Illustration
    • Adobe After Effects
    • Adobe XD (UX / UI)
