A leading automotive manufacturing company seeks a skilled and proactive Millwright to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and operational safety.
This role is open to Port Elizabeth (PE), Uitenhage, and East London residents. Note: East London applicants must have family or friends currently residing in PE to assist with relocation, as the company will not provide relocation assistance.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a technically adept Millwright to grow within a structured and safety-conscious manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Grade 12 (NQF 4)
Recognised Millwright Trade Test (NQF 5)
Experience:
Up to 3 years’ electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Technical Skills:
Proficient in basic MS Office, SAP, and ERP systems
Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, methodologies, and SOPs
Familiar with safety and housekeeping standards
Core Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and prevent mechanical and electrical equipment failures.
Perform inspections and ensure compliance with product quality standards.
Coordinate preventive maintenance and ensure minimal downtime.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal controls.
Monitor cost efficiency and report deviations.
Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders
