Millwright - VKB Milling, Mokopane at VKB Group

Your Role

• We are looking for a qualified and experienced Millwright to join our dynamic manufacturing operation in Mokopane. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, repairing, and commissioning mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment while ensuring optimal plant performance, equipment reliability, and compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / NQF 4 with Mathematics and Science
• Red Seal Trade Certificate: Millwright
• Valid Driver’s License
• Own reliable transport
• Resident of Mokopane or willing to relocate
• 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience will be advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, test, and commission mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment.
• Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
• Execute preventative and planned maintenance activities in accordance with schedules and SOPs.
• Ensure accurate completion of job cards and maintenance records on the On-Key maintenance management system.
• Conduct equipment inspections and proactively identify potential failures.
• Support production by ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime.
• Maintain effective control of tools, spares, and maintenance resources.
• Comply with Food Safety, SHEQ, and 20 Keys requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence.
