    Monitoring Technical Sales Representative

    This role consists of actively promoting, selling and supporting the Monitoring Product range in the Sub Sahara Africa cluster. Working remotely, the person will be responsible for clients in Eastern Cape, KZN, Gauteng.

    Our Territory Representatives interact face to face with our customers, understand their needs and consult to offer the right solutions. We work collaboratively in Field Sales Teams and play a critical role in supporting our customer centric business model.

    Key responsibilities

    • Present, promote and sell our monitoring products/services to existing and prospective customers.
    • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
    • Achieve sales to exceed the allocated monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets in designated area.
    • Co-ordinate sales efficiencies and call and route planning with manager and ensure communications with all other departments.
    • Identify and follow up on potential customers.
    • Take the lead in the training of clients on our Monitoring products as part of the ongoing day to day business.
    • Plan, attend and address study groups, farmers’ days and events
    • Liaison with farmers, agricultural companies, breeding societies and other customers with regards to sales activities and customer support.
    • Product orders needs to be duly and timeously recorded on the system per farm.
    • Product replacement needs to be duly and timeously recorded on the system per farm.
    • Correct quotation and client onboarding into Atlas SAP.
    • Key Account Management for existing clients, regular visits, after sales support and benchmarking.
    • Recording all client visits, calls and communication into CRM system weekly
    • Assisting After Sales Manager with third party software integration
    • Installations of the monitoring product software and hardware on farms.
    • 60% travel requirement in SA and per quarter SSA as needed.
    • Be able to present and training our company's Ruminant Sales Agents on Monitoring.
    • Establish a good working relationship with colleagues in your territory.
    • Be an Ambassador for our company's animal health intelligence brands.

    Qualifications, skills and experience:

    • Knowledge of Beef and Dairy industry in Sub-Saharan Africa
    • Previous sales experience (in Agricultural field preferable)
    • Tertiary qualification (Advantageous if in Agriculture or IT)
    • Preferred experienced in Dairy parlour management systems.
    • Problem solving skills and ability to analyse data
    • Valid driver’s licence and passport
