MS Dynamics Master Data & Systems Support Lead at Tharisa

Purpose of Role

• The Master Data & Systems Support lead is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising master data structures within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, with a strong focus on engineering, plant, and operational datasets. This role ensures high-quality data governance, supports business workflows, and acts as a key liaison between technical teams, engineering stakeholders, and plant operations. 

Context of Role

• Manage and maintain master data models related to engineering, plant, and maintenance data (equipment hierarchies, asset registers, BOMs, materials, specifications, etc.).
• Develop and configure Dynamics 365 data entities, tables, and workflows that support engineering and plant operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to understand operational workflows.
• Work with IT and vendor partners to support data integrations (API, ETL, middleware).
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and testing cycles.
• Act as the primary point of contact for engineering and plant teams regarding master data.
• Front-line and advanced support to engineering end users, ensuring Microsoft Dynamics operates reliably and effectively within daily engineering workflows.
• Troubleshooting system issues, resolving data or process errors, assisting users with navigation and functionality.
• Deliver training, documentation, and user guidance on data structures, processes, and workflows.
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and testing cycles.
• Perform data cleansing, validation, enrichment, and lifecycle management within MS Dynamics 365.
• Ensure data integrity across integrated systems (e.g., MES, LIMS, planning systems, engineering design tools).
• Establish and enforce master data standards, naming conventions, and governance policies.

Job Requirements
Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years working with and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, Supply Chain, or Asset Management modules).
• Experience in master data management, data modeling, or data governance.
• Strong understanding of plant operations, engineering data, asset hierarchies, and maintenance concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot and configure Dynamics workflows, data entities, and business rules.

Job specific experience

• 5+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, Supply Chain, or Asset Management modules).
• Experience in master data management, data modelling, or data governance.
• Building relationships with vendors
