Description
- Identify and screen rhizobia and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria from underutilized legumes.
- Screen for beneficial plant-soil microbe interaction traits.
- Conduct glasshouse and/or field screening trials involving rhizobium/rhizobacterial inoculation.
- Investigate soil characteristics in relation to legume rhizobium interactions.
- Study the molecular characterization and identification of selected elite strains.
- Publish research outputs on internationally recognized peer reviewed journals
Requirements
- BSc/BTech in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biological Sciences.
- Basic knowledge of soil microorganisms in particular soil bacteria.
- Experience in glasshouse and/or field experiment is an added advantage.
