    National Business Development Manager – Education

    • Tsebo is seeking an experienced National Business Development Manager – Education to lead growth in the education sector by securing new catering contracts and expanding existing relationships. This role has a national focus and will promote our Eatfresh offering across schools, boarding facilities, and education-related events.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the education sector.
    • Sell catering functions and promote the Eatfresh brand nationally.
    • Develop and execute strategies to expand from the current base of schools.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers in schools and education institutions.
    • Draft costings and prepare proposals for client engagements.
    • Represent Tsebo at education events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
    • Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform strategies.
    • Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on business development activities.

    Skills and Competencies    

    • Proven ability to drive business growth in the education sector.
    • Strong networking within the schooling/education industry.
    • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
    • Skilled in costings, proposals, and client presentations.
    • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and opportunity identification.
    • Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office Suite.
    • Strong planning and organisational skills for national scope.
    • Adaptable and resilient in a competitive market.

    Qualifications    

    • Minimum: Matric (Grade 12).
    • Preferred: Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in business development or sales within the education or catering industry.
    • Strong understanding of school contracts, operations, and education sector dynamics.
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (national travel required).
