National Internal Audit Manager at Virgin Active South Africa

Your Purpose

• To make exercise irresistible
• Manage the Internal Audit team to provide reliable, independent assurance to the business regarding the effectiveness of controls; effective risk mitigation processes and compliance with legislative and company policies across Clubs, the Virgin Active Contact Centre and National Head Office

Your Duties and Responsibilities.

• Identifying and assessing areas of significant business risk
• Compiling and implementing the annual Internal Audit plan
• Implementing best audit and business practices in line with applicable internal audit statements
• Overseeing risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes in Clubs, Contact Centre and National Head office
• Managing resources (people and budgets) and audit assignments
• Reporting the audit results to Management and/ or Risk Committees, as applicable
• Develop, implement and maintain internal audit policies and procedures, guided by local and international best practice
• Plan and implement internal audit assignments for the business
• Overall supervision of planned annual audits
• Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported

Our Minimum Requirements.

We can’t live without

• B Com. / B. Compt
• Completed Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) Certification
• 5 - 8 years Auditing Experience
• 3 years + senior management experience
• Successful track record in internal audit, risk mitigation and people leadership
