Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A National Diploma (NQF6) or a Bachelor’s degree (NQF7) in Information Technology or equivalent qualification
• At least two years’ experience in Cisco Network (LAN, WAN and Wireless) Deployment, Configuration and Support

Please Note: Preference will be given to Internal candidates who meet the minimum requirements

Recommendations:

• At least / either CCNA / HCIA (International certified)
• ITIL v4, COBIT 2019 Foundation and Prince 2

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

• Support and maintain the networking infrastructure of CPUT
• Ensure high availability of enterprise network infrastructure through the use of monitoring tools
• Take ownership of escalated and/or complex tickets allocated to network team
• Deliver clear Change management
• Involvement in problem management to identify root cause analysis
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients and peers
