    Network Manager (LAN)

    Datacentrix is looking for a Network Manager to be based at the Midrand offices. The focus of the Network (LAN) Manager is to provide the highest levels of infrastructure availability, reliability, resilience, and the rapid resolution of incidents. The Network (LAN) Manager will be responsible for managing and guiding a technical team that will consist of Network Engineers and FireWall Engineers. Ensuring that contract SLAs are met and Customer satisfaction is constantly achieved.

    • Aruba
    • HP
    • Cisco
    • Palo Alto
    • Fortigate
    • CloudFlare

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • Matric and Diploma or Degree in Information Technology
    • Cisco certifications
    • 8 Years experience in Managing a Technical team
    • Must have experience in the following technologies: HP, Aruba, and Cisco. 


    Role Accountabilities:

    • Design and maintain all of the Customer Network and Wireless solutions as per standards.
    • Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, and other Network Devices
    • Ensure reliable network connectivity to all of the network.
    • Administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
    • Perform network design and capacity planning.
    • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
    • Perform Network backups and recovery.
    • Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
    • Manage and/or provide guidance to members of the team.
    • Manage ISP and internet connections.
    • Troubleshoot issues
    • Write documentation
    • Ensure compliance.
    • Escalate calls that cannot be remedied to appropriate persons, in a timely manner, in accordance with agreed escalation procedures.
    • Provide monthly statistics summarizing call frequency, service rendered, corrective action taken, failure trends, damage inflicted, etc.
    • Interface and collaborate with other 3rd party vendors to ensure seamless integration and support services
