New Business Technician for an ISP at STEM

New Business Technician 
As an engineer you will be tasked with configurations, installations and troubleshooting networks supported by the company. You will support other engineers within the team and work directly with clients.

Main Outputs and Responsibilities for This Position

• Assist with onsite installations
• Perform daily remote maintenance on network infrastructure
• Comprehensive skills in IP Addressing, subnetting
• Responsible for setting up L2, L3 and VoIP services for customers
• Plotting network feasibility
• Project manage new network roll outs
• Configure and quality test new and existing installations
• Configure and load client phone service profile on relevant VOIP Platform
• Conduct analysis of client IT infrastructure and provide feedback to Project Office
• Perform WAN routing configurations
• Perform switch level configurations and LAN routing
• Deliver/Promote the highest levels of Client Service to all areas of the business
• Able to troubleshoot WAN/LAN/VLAN connectivity issues
• Must be able to understand the company SLA’s and apply them to the customer setup
• Able to run with connectivity or communication-based projects without supervision

Qualifications

• CCNA, CCNP or JNCIA, JNCIP or relevant certificate/diploma

Knowledge

• At least 3 years experience as IT Engineer
• Need knowledge in the workings of Mikrotik, Ciena, Cisco, and Juniper
• Networking skills, basic routing and switching

Required

• Must be a good Communicator
• Must have own Car and a valid Driver’s License.
