The Sol Plaatje University, which had provisionally been referred to as the University of the Northern Cape, opened in Kimberley, South Africa, in 2014, accommodating a modest initial intake of 135 students. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of Accounting and Economics Sciences as a lecturer in Accounting, while receiving reduced teaching loads and structured mentorship to support the completion of a doctoral qualification, development of teaching competence, and establishment of a research profile in accounting.
The incumbent will contribute to undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, and academic activities within the department, in line with the objectives of the NGAP programme as well as the institution.
Minimum Requirements
A master’s degree in accounting or commerce or any equivalent master’s degree (specializing in Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing or Taxation).
Prospective candidates should have achieved an average of 70% or above at master's level.
Must be forty (40) years or younger.
At least two years teaching experience in a higher education environment
Commit to the completion of Doctoral studies, within a prescribed period.
