Qualifications / Requirements

EDUCATION

• Diploma/Degree: Mechanical/Industrial / Business Science; B Comm; Purchasing & Logistics

Experience

• 3 to 5 years in Inventory Management, including MRP

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

 Customer Relations (internal & external)

• Liaise with local/ global suppliers and solve queries on releases/orders timeously
• People Management
• Ensure correct supplier audits, education, and training to ensure conformance to Nissan standards and expectation
• Critical part management
• Manage SLAs for operational areas
• Safety Stock
• Manage team performance to ensure daily targets & objectives are met
• Free Issue
• Recruit & select competent employees according to company policies & procedures
• Cost per unit
• Manage IR according to company policies & procedures
• New/ Run-out ratio
• Ensure development & training of employees (ILU Method)
• Special orders parts
• Manage and control parts pipeline (replacement ordering according to set standards)
• Downtime and Cripples
• Ensure timeous pre-removal of parts to support production Ability to compile risk and contingency plans and implement them
• Obsolescence and Excess Stock
• Maintain buffer of loan damage and lost parts according to pre-arranged format Adeptness to deal with, supervise and interact with co-workers, contractors, suppliers and consultants
• Maintain agreed stock level parameters Take a leading role / control in initiating action and making decisions
• Count all free issue parts at local suppliers continuously to ensure stock accuracy (maximum 3-month cycle) Show integrity and fairness in decision making
• Ensure correct maintenance of budget on a monthly basis for parts control and material supply & logistics
• Ensure 100% availability of stock for SOP
• Ensure 100% availability of stock for run-out with minimum obsolescence
• Manage and expedite CKD parts ordered by other areas according to specific needs
• Project management - new model introduction and model run-outs
• Liaise with DCC/Planning management to resolve concerns that can/will affect parts availability.
