As an experienced Occupational Medical Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing various medical services and support to site-based employees under occupational health and safety regulations and mining industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-employment medical inductions and examinations for new employees
Provide medical treatment and care for employees who have suffered work-related injuries or illnesses
Develop and implement health promotion programs to improve the overall well-being of our workforce
Advise on workplace health and safety issues and recommend measures to prevent injuries and illnesses
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all employees
Conduct periodic medical examinations for all employees in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
Coordinate with external medical providers and specialists as needed
Participate in emergency response drills and help develop emergency medical procedures
Stay up to date on industry trends and advancements in occupational health and safety
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Medicine / Surgery
Relevant Occupational Health and Medicine qualification
Minimum 3 – 5 years working experience as an Occupational Medical Practitioner in a mining or similar industrial sector
Able to work well in a highly pressurised environment and ensure all deadlines are met
Excellent local occupational health and safety regulations knowledge
