    Ocean Freight Commercial Center - JHB

    In this Ocean Freight Commercial Center position

     

    • You will execute country to country pricing, pricing campaigns, MTS based BC pricing with country OCC’s.
    • You will align MTS (QuoteShop) freight rates to net carrier buy rates with competitive mark-up.
    • You will provide network support on Trade and ensure new business volume growth on Trade.
    • You will complete weekly review with Sales on Trade pipeline opportunity.
    • You will support sales in selling/securing OFR on country level in terms of providing adequate solution design, routing proposal and factor-based pricing for prioritized opportunities.
    • You will provide weekly feedback on top 10 new business opportunities and progress status.
    • You will provide weekly QuoteShop hit rate analysis and follow up on missed opportunities and aim to improve hit rate on QuoteShop to 70%.
    • You will carry monthly meetings with Carriers on Trade to have a full understanding of Carrier Services and Pricing Structures and maintain carrier service profile per trade.
    • You will offer RFQ support on specific existing business RFQ’s.
    • You will own and maintain 'Country OCC tariffs' within relevant templates and system.
    • You will support in execution of OFR and commercial strategy in local OCC.
    • You will drive competitive and strategic pricing.
    • Executes pricing campaigns (e.g. seasonal offers, trade lane market and special offers)
    • Searches for best pricing solutions in order to maximize profitability of OFR.
    • Provides pricing for Sales growth on country level (including standard factor-based pricing methodology), supports and follows up with Sales.
    • Provides correct and timely feedback to GBT bids; answers GBT and region to region.
    • Sets up and maintains Tier 4 approach to local BC Sales
    • Provides quick and aggressive responses to level 1 and 2 opportunities.
    • Sets up tariffs to answer level 3 and 4 opportunities.
    • Monitors objectives in terms of profitability maximization and volume growth (e.g. on ITM lanes)
    • You will escalates need for decision making on risk taking through higher hierarchy levels.
    • You will adhere to and complies with rules and principles.
    • You will act as OFR subject matter experts in trainings, for customer visits, local OFR conferences, etc.
    • You will interact with customers in alignment with Sales.
    • You will interact and meet with Shipping lines and co-loaders to build relationships.

    Now, here’s what we need from you

    • Must have a Matric
    • 5 years’ experience or more as an OCC desk Specialist/Pricing
