Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate multi-functional disciplinary work groups to compile risk specific  occupational hygiene and safety assessments.
• Implement, enhance and maintain occupational hygiene safety and health programs within the parameters of legal requirements, international organisation for standardisation (ISO) 45001 standards and best practices.
• Provide professional advice and guidance with respect to occupational hygiene and safety for employees, contractors/suppliers, customers and members of the public.
• Analyse and assess business unit needs regarding occupational hygiene and safety risks, implement and monitor control measures.
• Develop, implement and monitor occupational hygiene safety audits and reviews.
• Ensure legislation and business risks created by incidents are managed.
• Develop and advise on implementation and evaluation of occupational hygiene and safety management processes for contractors, suppliers or projects.
• Develop, implement and monitor occupational hygiene and safety standards, procedures, systems and processes.

Minimum requirements

Qualification(s):

• National Diploma in Safety Management/Environmental Health/Sciences/Management at NQF 6 with 240 credits. 

Related Minimum Experience:.

• 3 years’ experience in fire and emergency management, contractor management, occupational hygiene and safety
