Job Description

As an Onboarding Officer, you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Effectively manage and schedule the pipeline of incoming Contractors taking into account available resources for various on/offboarding steps.
• Manage any escalated Contractor queries regarding the on/offboarding processes.
• Support and guide Contractors in the Site processes for the effective management of Contractor and equipment on/off boarding.
• Provide support for onboarding activities.
• Assist with arrangements of targeted intervention sessions with SMMEs.
• Track onboarding processes and identify opportunities for improvements in the process.
• Project manage specific high risk on boarding projects.
• Assist contractors with medical booking process and site for urgent bookings.
• Upon on-boarding of contractors, evaluation and data clean-up of exceptions between SAP, Honeywell and Passport 360.
• Collaborate with various Departments to ensure improvement of efficiency of the system.
• Track off-boarding processes and identify opportunities for improvements in the process.
• Implement the Kumba Contractor Management Guideline and ensure that the process is communicated and adopted during the contractor on boarding processes.
• Champion the usage of the digital Contractor Management System (Passport 360) for tracking the Contractor Management Processes.

This role is in the Safety & Sustainable Development (SSD) department at a Band 7 level reporting to Manager Contractor Management

Qualifications

• Matric
• Relevant Diploma/ Degree (Safety/ Communication/ HR)
• Mandatory – extensive knowledge of Passport 360
• Driver’s Licence Code B (Light Vehicle)

Experience

• Mining industry experience
• Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
