RPO Recruitment is actively seeking a skilled Outbound Shipping Manager to join our client’s team in Cape Town (Ottery). This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to oversee and optimize shipping operations in a fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate outbound shipping operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Oversee the packing, labeling, and dispatching of shipments to meet customer requirements.
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and company policies.
Track and monitor shipments to resolve any delays or issues promptly.
Collaborate with warehouse staff, transport providers, and customer service teams.
Implement strategies to improve shipping efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and inventory.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of the shipping team and provide necessary training.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent (a tertiary qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus).
Proven experience in outbound shipping or logistics management.
Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Proficient in using shipping and inventory management software.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
