Job description:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical preparation of financial plans within a PSG Wealth advisory practice, compiling financial needs analyses, investment proposals, and risk and retirement planning reports that align with each client's individual circumstances and goals. You will manage all aspects of the pre-advice process, including research, fund and product comparisons, portfolio review packs, and Record of Advice documentation, while working closely with advisers to ensure every recommendation is accurate, compliant, and client ready. The individual will also be responsible for maintaining client records, tracking outstanding documentation, and liaising with product providers on application and servicing queries

Responsibilities:

• Client face to face meetings, if necessary, at the office
• Liaising and providing feedback to clients on plan and application progress
• Handling client queries
• Financial Planning Management: preparing financial needs analyses, investment proposals, and risk/retirement recommendations
• Recording details and information on relevant systems & compliance
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Bridging the gap between the office and product providers/insurers
• Maintaining a good working relationship with providers
• Reporting
• Manage client retention
• Understanding policy wording and various investment and risk products
• Relevant work experience in financial planning/wealth management
• Preparing quotations and comparisons for clients
• Follow up on leads
• Help building a client base
• Policy and portfolio reviews
• Advising clients on their investment, risk, and retirement planning needs

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric (essential) + Relevant tertiary qualification (B.Com) in Financial Planning, Investment Management, or related field (essential)
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Paraplanner or in a similar financial planning support role
• RE5 completed
• Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (or working towards) advantageous and/or CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation highly advantageous
• Proficient in both spoken and written English and at least one other of the official South African languages
