Part-time Lecturer: Visual Art – Diploma in Education (Grade R), Faculty of Education at Cape Peninsula University of Technology

Job Purpose

The purpose of this vacancy is to appoint a part-time lecturer to teach in the field of Visual Art in the Diploma in Education, Grade R programme at the Wellington Campus 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A relevant Master’s degree and/or B Ed Honours-degree relevant to Foundation Phase and Diploma in Education: Grade R.
• A relevant teaching qualification in the Foundation Phase
• At least two (2)  relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level in Foundation Phase and/or Early Childhood Education or five (5) relevant teaching experience at Foundation Phase and/oror Early Childhood level at school level
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans

• Exposure to academic teaching methodology at Foundation Phase and/or Early Childhood level
• Evidence of competence in research
• Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities
• Teaching Visual Art on the Diploma in Education: Grade R
• Curriculum development and other learning materials design

• Administering, supervising and evaluating teaching experiences
• Learning support for and in multilingual classrooms
