    Partnership Officer: Fundraising

    Job Description    

    Work in collaboration with the Head of of Partnerships in the development and implementation of the AWHF’s fundraising strategy. The main responsibility being fundraising, event’s co-ordination and managing of donor relations in alignment with the Funds strategic plan.

    Technical outputs.

    1. Develop and Implement fundraising and donor management strategies of AWHF;
    2. Develop and manage partners’ relationships and ensure continued support to the
    3. Identify and cultivate prospective financial partners, develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, i.e. decision makers, government officials, national and international institutions, as well as relevant non-governmental organizations in the
    4. Develop and maintain relations with private sector (foundations and corporate companies in a way to make AWHF’s work visible and relevant to
    5. Budget monitoring & reporting  In collaboration with the Head Partnership Development:
    6. Develop, identify and manage the fundraising and stakeholder management plan to support the AWHF. 
    7. Develops and maintains strong relationships with strategic partners and consultants to develop and grow revenue. 
    8.   Work in collaboration with the Partnership Officer (Communication) to promote the Fund and its initiatives.
    9. Develops customized partnership solutions to drive fundraising.
    10. Provide monthly and quarterly reports to the Head of Section and Director on fundraising opportunities identified through various engagements.
    11. Collaborate with Head of section to create detailed concepts/proposals for fundraising events and associated logistics, (g. timelines, venues, catering, suppliers, legal obligations, staff and budgets, health and safety requirements).
    12. Coordinate suppliers, handling business/client queries and troubleshooting on the day/s of the event to ensure the event runs smoothly

    1. An annual fundraising plan developed and implemented
    2. Execution on quarterly fundraising events and digital/online fundraising campaigns.
    3. Fundraising materials developed and disseminated (including but not limited to brochures, website, newsletters and media articles)
    4. Initiate, facilitate and coordinate funding proposals and initiative

    Minimum Requirements

    1. Relevant qualifications preferably a degree in Business Management, Diplomacy, Public Relations, or related field with a minimum of 3 years’ proven experience.
    2. Able to communicate fluently in English. Knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
