A well-established and successful clothing manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Pattern Maker to join their production team based in Dimbaza.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical pattern-making skills and the ability to translate garment designs into accurate production patterns while ensuring quality, fit, and manufacturing efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
Proven experience as a Pattern Maker in a clothing manufacturing environment
Ability to create patterns from existing garments and technical specifications
Experience with pattern grading and garment fit adjustments
Good understanding of garment construction and factory production processes
Knowledge of Lectra or similar pattern-making software would be advantageous
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in pattern development
Ability to work well in a team and meet production deadlines
Reliable with a good work track record
Key Responsibilities
Create patterns from existing garments and design specifications
Develop new patterns based on garment measurements and technical requirements
Grade patterns into various sizes according to size charts
Analyze and adjust patterns to ensure production efficiency and accurate fit
Work closely with the sampling and production teams during fittings and sample development
Ensure patterns include correct markings, seam allowances, and technical details
Maintain organized pattern records and documentation
Provide technical input on garment construction and production processes
