Oversee all payroll activities, including the month end process, ensuring that the processes defined are carried out accurately and that payments are made according to company policies and statutory requirements
Facilitate the generation of continual improvement processes and quality standards within the Payroll Department
Update and maintain relevant payroll policies and procedures to manage risks
Prepare accurate and timely reports as requested by management
Ensure the headcount budgets are accurately captured and that changes are monitored and balanced
Maintain accuracy and integrity of the payroll system information
Drive projects by monitoring project progress, including third party contributions, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action with the aim of maximizing ROI
Ensure adherence to all statutory compliance requirements
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
Relevant tertiary qualification with at least 8 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role with a medium to large organisation with experience in business strategy, payroll analysis and business processes reporting and documenting
Project management experience
Be familiar with payroll benefits, i.e. Provident Fund, Risk Benefits etc
Excellent knowledge of BCEA, EE, SDLA, Income Tax Act, COIDA and other relevant legislation
