Payroll Officer at The South African Weather Service (SAWS)

Job Summary:

• To provide an accurate and efficient payroll administrative function in line with company policies, procedures, and governance.

Key Performance Areas:

•  Collect and process all payroll information monthly (full payroll experience)
•  Must be able to work independently and under pressure
•  Process salary payments and third-party payments for PAYE, UIF, SDL, Pension and Medical
• Aid on time and accurately.
•  Accurately complete Orion changes, reconcile to payment and submit
•  Ensure full compliance with all SARS requirements and other relevant statutory requirements
•  Assist and attend to internal and external audit queries where necessary
•  Queries handled in an effective manner to ensure effective service delivery

Required Minimum Education/Training:

•  Diploma in HR or Finance
•  Bcom degree in HR or Finance will be an added advantage

Required Minimum Work Experience:

•  Relevant 4 years’ experience in payroll administration
