Key performance areas

Front-office and client service

• Attend to visitors and manage all walk-in, email, telephone and general enquiries.
• Provide accurate information to parents, learners, clients and the public regarding the school and its services.
• Answer, screen and direct incoming calls professionally.
• Take accurate messages and ensure timely relay to relevant staff.
• Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate departments or staff members.

Administration and coordination

• Generate quotations and manage bookings for the conference centre.
• Liaise with the food and beverage department regarding events and venue requirements.
• Organise and coordinate the usage of venues and boardrooms.
• Update, maintain and distribute staff telephone lists.
• Track and communicate staff movements in and out of the school.
• Provide administrative and clerical support as required.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the school’s portfolio and overall service offering.
• Demonstrate personal commitment to education and uphold the ethos and values of the school.

Qualifications, experience and skills

• Higher education experience (advantageous).
• Previous experience in a similar administrative or front-office position.
• Strong client service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to operate a switchboard and manage front-line enquiries.
• Additional languages will be an advantage.
• Excellent organisational, multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional personal presentation and strong interpersonal skills.
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with the higher education environment (advantageous).
• Reliable, calm under pressure and capable of working in a fast-paced school environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.
• A clear criminal record.
